Radiance Kitchens

Introducing Modular into the Civil Design Industry

Modularization of the Civil Design Industry

India has a diversified Kitchen market and each and every client is unique with their unique requirements for their kitchen. That is why many architects are hesitant to work with modular kitchens since they think that the standard sizes will restrict their ability to build according to the needs of their clients. That is why the majority of architects choose Civil Kitchens, which are kitchens planned by civil engineers and built by masons from brick and mortar. Masons use 75-100 mm thick concrete top slabs and 25-30 mm wide brick partitions to build these kitchens. These kitchens are substantial and strong due to their concrete construction.

Radiance Kitchen is here to debunk any reservations our fellow Architects may have regarding modular kitchens, as well as to extend a hand to work with them. We understand that modular kitchens are still a developing trend in India, and while they are very different from the traditional manner of building a kitchen, they are still very prominent.

In our recent project we cooperated with Civil Kitchen for the Rathod Family with Arc. Anil Ranka worked according to their Size Palette. Normally, we install the carcass counter, vertical drop, and skirting before assembling the Drawers, Shutters, and other accessories, but in this case, the carcass counter, vertical drop, and skirting were already made to the clients’ specifications, so all we had to do was customize the Drawers, Shutters, and other accessories and fit them. This kitchen turned out to be a great collaboration with civil kitchen and we are proud to say that we delivered the product as per the requirement and the clients are very satisfied.

We aim to continue working with Architects in this manner and produce the finest outcome possible. We believe Standardization is the key to the modular industry’s growth and development, yet transitioning from unstructured carpentry to modular industry is a challenging task. We need to learn about the expectations of architects and the interior design industry, and then strive to convert them to modular.
