Radiance Kitchens

The Convivial-Compact kitchen

In Pune’s Aundh neighborhood, Arch.Priya Konkane envisioned a serene flat, and the Radiance team was glad to be part of this project. When Mr. Patil and architect Priya initially shared their mood board with us, we were thrilled to take this project and help them achieve their ideal Kitchen. The mood board consisted of warm and cozy colors and hints of wood which goes really well with warm colors. The requirements were focused on color since they wanted to create an environment that’s cozy, aer the requirements were clear our Designer got to work and started creating a palette for their kitchen.

The palette included shades of Beige, Cream, Tan, Rust, So gold, and other neutral hues. We ultimately decided on cosmic beige and chose walnut veneer for the subtle wood tones. This combination not only gives off the cozy vibe they were going for but also looks gorgeous and is a timeless option. Our designer began working on the technical aspects once the color board was set; because the kitchen area was so compact, we had to design a small kitchen while utilizing all the space. We went for a “C” shaped layout since it helped utilize three walls and was a very space saving layout for this kitchen.

The Shutter finishes for the Cosmic Beige are Techno Matt; we also call them “The Self Healing Shutter” because they self-heal when exposed to scratches, abrasion, dry heat, acid-based solvents, and household reagents. Except for the wall and tall unit, these shutters are used throughout the kitchen. To add those wood tones, we installed Walnut Bronze Laminate shutters in the wall tall unit. All of these shutters are accompanied by a black J profile.

The wall tall unit has a very chic appearance, and the walnut shutters are nicely complimented by the brown tinted shutters with LED’s, which emit very Moody tones. The wall tall unit not only adds value to the design but also to the layout of the kitchen; it includes all built-in appliances such as a refrigerator, oven, microwave, and coffee machine.

Because the kitchen is limited, Blind Corners were required to make the most of the available space- so the corner base unit has a leman’s corner to use, as well as the L shaped corner Unit as a shelf that looks very sleek but has a lot of storage.

Overall, this kitchen is very simple in appearance, but the client’s sentiments about the designs were very strong, and we are grateful that the Radiance team was able to deliver it.

*In Built Appliances*
Indian kitchens are rapidly evolving. From the traditional chaotically random placement of necessary kitchen elements to perfectly organized modular set ups, we’ve come a long way. The kitchen appliances are an exception to this arrangement.
However, with the introduction of built-in appliances, this is changing as well. Built-In Appliances are kitchen appliances that are built into the cabinetry or walls of the kitchen, creating a seamless, integrated look in modern kitchens.
They are permanently installed in the kitchen and cannot be moved. Aside from their aesthetic appeal, built-in appliances have a number of advantages over traditional appliances.

*Semi-integrated dishwashers*
Semi-integrated dishwashers are intended to be installed into kitchen cabinets, with only the controls visible. The remaining space on the door can be covered with a panel that matches the rest of your kitchen – for example, if your cupboards are beech, you can cover the dishwasher door with a beech panel. ______________________________________________
