The Self-Healing Kitchen

We at Radiance decided to create a memorable experience for all the in-house designers a year ago, during COVID lock down. Since everyone was working from home and missing out on a lot of office fun, it was a social distancing activity that required all designers to design a kitchen, with the best one going on exhibit in the showroom once the constraints were lied. This was simply to li the team’s spirits and inspire them through these difficult times.

Our designer, Pratiksha Pachhapure, managed to stand out with her kitchen design, which had very unique specifications, and it truly deserved to be on display. And in this article we are here to explain all the details about it-

First and foremost, let us discuss the kitchen layout. Our Designer wanted to make the most of the space, so she switched from a parallel layout to a L-shaped kitchen layout. We were able to add a tiny breakfast table in the middle because of the layout’s smart use of space.

The kitchen’s next best feature is the “Self-Healing” shutters. That’s right, you read that correctly. These Techno Matt Shutters self-heal when exposed to scratches, abrasion, dry heat, acid-based solvents, and household reagents. These shutters are created with Italian technology that generates thermal energy when wiped with a magic sponge (which is made from melamine foam and uses a compound called formaldehyde-melamine-sodium bisulfite copolymer to remove filth, stains, dirt, and other contaminants.) The melamine foam absorbs the debris once the stain is removed from the surface. The material has a particular non-porous external layer that allows it to keep its perfect appearance with normal cleaning and maintenance. They can also come into contact with food. With exceptional functionality and a range of color possibilities, this is one of the most interesting shutters available.

This brings us to the color scheme in the kitchen. Our designer enjoys working with dark colors and prefers monochromatic color schemes. As a result, she chose Techno matt shutters in Grigio Anthracite 010 and paired them with black-tinted shutters on the wall cabinets, then furnished the kitchen with bright red kitchen decor and kitchenware for a color pop effect. The kitchen includes concealed LED lights, giving the dark concept a more modern appearance.

Moving to the most intriguing aspect, the kitchen accessories, we installed a highly techie-looking black rolling shutter that complements the monochromatic concept of the kitchen.

The next accessory is a pullout topflex that can be used as a platform to keep baked items immediately out of the microwave, or as a breakfast counter or small work station. Right beside the pullout topflex there is a chic white basin, which goes very well with the Caesarstone’s Dreamy Marfil countertop and is also equipped with a pullout tap for cleaning any mess that necessitates the application of force of water. It is quite convenient and practical. Speaking of practicality, just below the basin in the cabinet there is a practical li-out basket that stores all cleaning products in one pull-out. The top basket swings aside for optimum access to the baskets below, and it can also be lied out with one hand.

A glass cabinet with tinted glass and led lights has been set up in the kitchen, giving it a very classy appearance and making the items stored in it look extremely affluent. It can be used as a storage unit for crockery or for storing liquor.

On top of the basin is a GTPT (Glass Tray and Plate Tray) cabinet, which allows all water from wet utensils to pass through the tray and into the basin without damaging the cabinets.
Since everything in the kitchen caters to a luxury taste and an Indian way of cooking, so our designer decided to go with Vortex 490 Hob-

From slow cooking curry to creating a dum biryani, the Vortex Burner Hobs unlock the secrets of Indian cooking. Introducing the range with vortex flame burners that adapt to the shape of pots and pans put on it to provide a smooth flame distribution, ensuring even heating on all sides of the pan for a mouthwatering dish preparation.

Our designer Pratiksha has created a kitchen that we are delighted to encounter and see every day at the Radiance Kitchen Showroom, and we would like to invite you all to take a look at it and admire its beauty.
